We’ve changed a lot over the years, but we’re proud that Shoney’s® is still a family friendly restaurant where folks can enjoy our great food and great service for a great value. Come on down and LET’S EAT®!
Dine at our restaurant in Dover, Ohio to sample Buehler’s locally-grown food without having to do the cooking at home. Where else in Dover can you get breakfast served all day alongside daily specials like all you care-to-eat pasta Thursday and entrees like Swiss Steak or Grilled Salmon Caesar Salad? Or just stop by for one of our homemade desserts like our apple dumpling with ice cream or chocolate lava cake.
Stop in and enjoy our many home-style favorites inspired by the foods we grew up with. From the Mac-n-cheese to the meatloaf to the apple crisp... all prepared fresh in our restaurant. We feature a different "hot special" each day or try one of our homemade soups with a made-to-order sandwich. We also feature many vegetarian selections.
Bob Evans, founder of our company, lived on the Bob Evans Farm in southeastern Ohio for nearly 20 years. He and his wife, Jewell, raised their six children in the large brick farmhouse known as the Homestead. Now on the National Register of Historic Places, the Homestead was once a stagecoach stop and an inn. Later, the Evans family opened The Sausage Shoppe in their front yard, which later became the first Bob Evans restaurant, still open today. The spirit of hospitality is deeply embedded in our company's history. Today, the Homestead serves as a company museum and historical center.
